Tau Renatus

René Chambellant  Birth 1907   1944 Elus Cohen Age: 37 initiated by Ambelain   1945 Tau Renatus was elected as the successor to the martyred Constant Martin Chevillon Age: 38 The E.G.U. was revived after the war; and in 1945 Tau Renatus was elected as the successor to the martyred Chevillon. Renatus was succeeded in 1948 by Charles-Henry Dupont (Tau Charles-Henry), who stepped down in 1960 in favor of Robert Ambelain (Tau Jean   1959 26 Apr Served in the Legislative assembly of the Central African Republic Age: 52 Cental Africa History: The two vacant seats (left by the death of Boganda and Fayama) and a third seat won by the MESAN party (Député Boybou) but declared illegal by Constitutional Council--all of these seats were in the 2nd constituency--were filled in a by-election.   Death 1993  Age: 86 no direct successor was appointed - Chambellant was succeeded by his surviving Episcopal college, led by Tau Johannes, Tau Gilbertus and Tau Christianus. In the 1970's Chambellant, who was a "Constitutional Patriarch" according to the Synésius Constitution
